【摘要】:RegulationssuchasthosepromulgatedbytheU.S.OccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministrationin29CFR1910.1000designatethatcertainhazardousgasesandvaporsmustnotbepresentintheworkplaceairatconcentrationsabovespecificvalues.Thispractice,whenusedinconjunctionwithananalyticaltechnique,suchasthatgivenfororganiccompoundsinPracticeD3687,mayprovideameansforthedeterminationoftime-weightedairborneconcentrationsofmanyofthehazardousgasesandvaporsinapplicableregulations(forexample,29CFR1919.1000,),aswellasothers.Themanufacturer''sliteratureshouldbeconsultedfortheappropriatelistofchemicalswhichmaybesampledbyaparticulardevice.1.1Thispracticecoversthesamplingofworkplaceatmospheresforthepresenceofcertaingasesorvaporsbymeansofdiffusionacrossaspecifiedquiescentregionandsubsequentsorptiononasolidsorbent(1).1.2AlistoforganiccompoundswhichareapplicabletosolidsorbentsamplingwherethesorbentiscontainedinabedthroughwhichairispassedisgiveninAnnexA1ofPracticeD3686.Diffusivesamplersmaybeapplicabletoasimilarrangeofcompoundsbutthismustbeconfirmedbyreferencetotheindividualsamplermanufacturers''literature.1.3Thevaliduseofdiffusivesamplersdependsontheexistenceofactuallaboratoryorfieldvalidation,orboth.Guidanceonvalidationcanbeobtainedfrompublishedprotocols(2-6).Thispracticeisnotdesignedtocovertheverification,validation,orspecifictestproceduresusedtoassesstheaccuracyorprecisionofdiffusivesamplers.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
