【摘要】:Thispracticecoversameanstoseparatetheunmoltenparticles,gels,andimpuritiescontaminatingapolymersample.Theproceduremaybeusedtoremovegelsandincompatiblematerialsthatmaycauseimperfectionsinthefinalextrudedproduct.Underpressure,mostgelswillbreakupordeformandpassthroughawiremeshfilter,howeverhighmolecularweightgelsmaynotbreakupordeform.Ifdesired,materialsisolatedonawiremeshfiltercansubsequentlybeidentifiedbyspectroscopicorotheranalyticalmeans.Note1-Althoughnotpresentedasaquantitativemethod,theprocedurepresentedinthispracticemaybeusedtoprovidequantitativeresultsatthediscretionoftheuser.Theuserassumestheresponsibilitytoverifythereproducibilityofquantitativeresults.Detectionlimitdependsonthemeshsizeofthefilterscreen,buttheprocedureisgenerallyapplicabletotheseparationofimmisciblecontaminantspresentatconcentrationsgreaterthan0.1%.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardsstatements,seeSection8.Note2-ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.
